The Village dumpster is for residents only -- and for personal use at their home. Please note that the disposal of debris created from outside the Village is prohibited. Failure to comply will result with resident being denied this service in the future.
Use of the Village dumpster is for a maximum of two (2) weeks. After two (2) weeks, the dumpster will be picked up from the resident’s home. If the resident needs to use it again, he/she will go back on the waiting list.
Do not overfill the dumpster. Landfill restrictions prohibit mixed loads. All loads will be checked before pick up. Any dumpster improperly loaded will be left at the residence and the resident will be responsible for correcting the load.
Use of the dumpster is for demolition, household goods, or yard waste alone. Examples of demolition are: lumber, railroad ties, windows, doors, roofing material, flooring, drywall or plaster, stones, rocks, bricks, concrete, cement blocks, etc. Do not mix anything else with a demolition load including paper or cardboard.
The dumpster may be used for household goods (such as clearing out a house before its sale.) All large household contents should be scheduled for Tuesday special pick-up. These items include appliances, furniture and mattresses. Yard wastes cannot be mixed with any other type of load. The definition of yard waste is anything that comes from the ground.
DO NOT LOAD IN DUMPSTER: food, garbage, paper, cardboard, paint and paint products, oils, pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, household or other chemicals, fuels, any other liquid wastes, tires, appliances, hot water tanks, heaters, fans furnaces, lawn mowers, auto parts, metal scrap, batteries, lights and fixtures, computers, televisions, electronics. For questions regarding any item not listed, please contact the Service Department at (216) 641-3505.
**Please note that the Village has priority over a resident for use of a dumpster.
