In an effort to reduce our waste generation, the State of New Jersey is requiring that all municipalities "RE-ENERGIZE ALL RECYCLING requirements." For a successful program, this commands improved data collection of all refuse and recycled products handled by Point Pleasant Beach and commercial carters/haulers.
Recycling Pickup (Mandatory recycling is in effect)
The Borough appreciates your cooperation to help reduce our environmental footprint by improving our recycling rate and minimizing waste generation. The more recyclable materials diverted from the waste stream by recycling or reuse means more money available to our town. Less reliance on land filling will in turn help control your costs. Typical recycling materials are:
