Fees will be assessed and provided by the Township.

The Zoning Department processes Zoning approvals for all commercial and residential improvements in the Township of Upper Providence. You must obtain a Zoning approval before you start construction on your project. When filing for an application please make sure that you provide complete and accurate information so staff can efficiently review plans. Below is a partial list of improvement activities that require a Zoning approval. Please review the list below and provide the appropriate documents and quantities when you submit your application. If you have any questions please contact the Zoning Department at (610) 933-9179.

Generally, all applications will need the following:

· One up to date site plan showing all buildings, current and proposed with setbacks dimensioned and roads identified.

· Any cut sheets of proposed sheds or fencing, construction drawings, and/or technical plans that pertain to the requested Zoning approval.

Additional drawings or information may be requested by the Township once an initial review of the application is completed.

Please note that Zoning Approval and Building Permit approval may be separate processes and receiving one approval does not ensure any other approvals. They may also require a separate application and review process.
