Road Construction

Emergency No Parking

  • Pre-Road Work Instruction Sheet
  • Traffic plan Must be Attached to this form
  • Signs can be picked up at the Traffic Bureau, (Monday through Friday, no later than 5:00 pm), first floor; on the counter located at 301 N. Wood Ave. NOTE: signs can still be picked up after hours and on weekends at our Police Headquarters.
  • Contractors must contact “Jobs for Blue” (1 877 425-8330) to schedule officers, if applicable.
  • Contractors will be responsible for posting the Emergency No Parking signs no later than 48 hours prior to construction date. The No Parking signs will be provided by the Linden Traffic Bureau. Please advise how many signs will be needed for the work.
  • Contractors shall notify the Traffic Bureau if the job will be extended with a time frame and hours of extension
  • Contractors should notify the Traffic Bureau when the job is done
  • At the end of construction, Contractors will be responsible to collect all (white) No Parking signs and Collect all Orange signs & Return back to Traffic

Introduction

The intent of these regulations is to establish criteria for all emergency “No Parking Signs” posted by Construction Companies on Linden City streets. This will result not only in good working relationships but will also expedite work being completed.

  • Parking Enforcement Officers will replace signs that are missing from weather related issues.
  • Parking Enforcement will be responsible to collect all orange signs and posted sticks and return to Traffic Bureau.
