  • If you are applying to remove 6 or more trees, you may need a grading permit. Please see the link provided: Grading Permit
  • Note: grading permits requires hard copies of plans and payment by two separate checks. 
  • Survey of property indicating location of trees to be removed and caliper size (diameter) measured one foot above the ground.
  • If trees are dead or hazardous, please attach a letter from a licensed tree removal expert / tree care operator, or a photograph clearly depicting condition.
  • Photos of trees to be removed (Note: If you do not upload pictures, inspections will be required).
  • Estimate from tree removal company (if applicable) Tree replacement plan on survey and/or written description
  • The Tree Expert and Tree Care Operators Licensing Act C.45:15 C11 requires all NJ-based tree maintenance businesses, or those providing services within NJ, to be registered with the New Jersey Board of Tree Experts.
