Red Barn:

The fee for a Red Barn Permit is $350 for Residents, $1000 for Businesses/Corporate events and Allendale Resident Sponsored events $1,000. If you requested to use the Field, it is an additional $150 for one hour and $300 for 2-3 hours.

Disclaimer: In the event that your event is expecting to have over 100 persons, the Borough of Allendale may consider this a "special event" and additional fees and requirements may apply. In this case, the Borough of Allendale will contact you with a different fee schedule and information after you submit your application.

For resident events having alcohol:

  • General Liability plus Liquor Liability insurance
  • Signed Hold Harmless Agreement (built into application)
  • General Liability Insurance with Liquor Liability Policy (Click Here).  The Borough of Allendale, 500 West Crescent Ave, Allendale, NJ 07401 needs to be the Certificate Holder and an Additional Insured. Minimum coverage required is $1,000,000 and policy must include host liquor liability coverage.

For all other resident events without alcohol:

  • General Liability Insurance (Click Here)
  • Signed Hold Harmless Agreement (built into application)

For businesses (not having alcohol):

  • Company's Certificate of Insurance  showing $1,000,000 minimum of general liability coverage as well as automobile and worker's compensation coverage.
  • The Borough of Allendale, 500 West Crescent Avenue, Allendale, New Jersey 07401 must be named as the Certificate Holder and an Additional Insured.
  • Signed Hold Harmless Agreement (built into application)

For businesses (having alcohol):

  • Company's Certificate of Insurance showing $1,000,000 minimum of general liability coverage as well as automobile and worker's compensation coverage.

  • The Borough of Allendale, 500 West Crescent Avenue, Allendale, New Jersey 07401 must be named as the Certificate Holder and an Additional Insured

This Agreement shall remain in full force and effect for any continued, additional or postponed date for the event indicated.

The Agreement shall be binding upon the respective heirs, executors, administrators, and successors of the parties hereto.

The rights and obligations of the parties hereto will continue until the earlier of: (1) so long as the Borough is or will be subject to any possible claim or threatened, pending or completed action, suit or proceeding, whether civil, arbitrational, administrative or investigative, that results from, or arises out of, the undersigned's use of the property referred to above; or (2) the termination of this Agreement in writing signed by both the Borough and the undersigned.

This Agreement may only be amended by a written document signed by both the Borough and the undersigned.

The municipality reserves the right to cancel or interrupt the event if the representations set forth therein are not adhered to or if the municipality determines that a situation that might lead to personal injury, property damage or violation of law exists.

In consideration of the use of the facilities requested above on the dates requested above for the purpose listed within this application the undersigned agrees to defend, indemnify and hold the Borough of Allendale harmless from any and all liability, suits, actions, claims, costs, expense, damages and/or attorney's fees arising out of the use of the property referred to above.

I understand that this Hold Harmless Agreement also requires that the Borough be indemnified from any losses or damages resulting from the acts or omissions from any guest, participant, visitor or other person attending the event herein referred to.

Unless waived in writing by the Borough, I agree to furnish a Certificate of Insurance specifically naming the Borough of Allendale as additional insured providing general liability coverage including bodily injury and property damage with minimum limits of liability not less than $1,000,000.

In order to induce the Borough to accept this hold harmless agreement, you must verify that the information above is accurate to your best knowledge.

Rentals for the Red Barn Facility are only for Allendale Residents and businesses. Red Barn season is from April 1st to October 31st (weather permitting). Rental includes the Red Barn, bathrooms, and prep area. Applicants may also request use of Ball Field #6 for an additional charge.
Please be aware that there may be events occurring on other Borough owned fields/facilities during the rental period you have requested.
The Borough has the right to deny any rental at its discretion.
This application must be completed and all fees paid at least two weeks prior to the requested date.
