A complete application for a sign permit shall consist of the following items:

  1. Drawings, or plans, of the purposed signage that:
    1. Are drawn to scale with appropriate dimension depicted thereon. (Sign Plan)
    2. Show all proposed logos.
    3. Show all proposed lettering including the dimensions, style and font thereof.
    4. Describe the colors of the proposed signage.
    5. Depict the method of illumination, if any.
    6. Show the purposed location of the proposed signage including its location on the tax lot and on the building or structure as well. (Sign Plan)
    7. Depict all existing signage on the lot for which the signage is proposed. (Sign Plan)
  2. A State describing:
    1. The material of which the proposed signage will be constructed or fabricated.
    2. The method by which the proposed signage will be attached to the building or structure.
    3. The method by which the applicant has calculated the area of the proposed signage.
  3. The name, address, email, phone number of the sign manufacturer and/or installer.
  4. Signature of the applicant or the owner of the proposed sign.
  5. Signature of the owner, or designated representative, of the tax lot for which the application is made.

  • Parking signs
  • Functional signs
  • Awnings
  • Commercial information signs
  • Flags
  • Dimensions of the building and it’s features, such as doors and windows.
  • If more than a storefront show dimension on the site plan.
  • Any old signs to be removed or replaced
  • Location of any lights to illuminate the new sign.
  • Location of free-standing signs (Temporary sign)
  • Location of a barbershop pole
