To all Peddlers and Solicitors participating in one-day events within the Borough of Bergenfield:

Effective immediately, all peddlers and solicitors who wish to participate in any one-day event within the Borough of Bergenfield must comply with the following requirements:

  1. Completion of Peddler/Solicitor Application:
    All peddlers and solicitors must complete the Borough's official Peddler/Solicitor Application. This form must be submitted to the Borough Administrator's office for approval prior to the event.
  2. Background Check:
    All applicants must submit to a background check to ensure compliance with the Borough's regulations and safety standards. The background check must be cleared prior to issuance of a permit to participate in any event.
  3. Fee Payment:
    A non-refundable fee of $25.00 must be paid at the time of application submission. This fee will cover administrative processing costs.
  4. Applicable Events:
    The following events, among others, are included under these regulations:
    • Bergen County Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade
    • Bergenfield Family Fun Day
    • Bergenfield Memorial Day Parade
    • Bergenfield Concert Series
    • Any other one-day event hosted or permitted by the Borough of Bergenfield

Failure to comply with these requirements will result in disqualification from participating in any of the aforementioned events.

This order is issued to ensure the safety, security, and proper management of peddlers and solicitors during one-day events held within the Borough.
